Member of Parliament, Hassan Fadlallah, on Tuesday stepped up calls for real accountability tackling corruption dossiers.

The lawmaker's words came in an intervention he made during the ongoing parliament's general discussions session.

"The Ministry of Telecoms owes LBP 700 billion in debts and these are the debts of ministers and institutions that use telecoms services for personal interests," the lawmaker said.

"This government has attained a series of achievements, including the electoral law, the general budget, the salary scale, and many other vital projects that were accomplished at a record speed," Fadlallah added in praise of the cabinet's endeavors; however, he demanded swift accountability measures thrashing out rampant corruption.
