Water and Energy Minister Cesar Abi Khalil, on Tuesday held several meetings with counterparts from India, Qatar and Morocco, as well as with a number of heads of Board Directors of Major oil companies.

"The meetings' outcome showed interest in participating in the first offshore exploration licensing round in September 2017," a statement by the Minister affirmed.

"A detailed explanation about the roadmap of the legal and administrative frameworks that govern the offshore licensing round had been explained in a bid to enhance the feasibility of investments in the Lebanese oil and gas sector," the statement added.
