Lebanese Army Chief, General Joseph Aoun, met, at his Yarze office on Tuesday, with Defence Senior Advisor Middle East at the UK Ministry of Defence, Lieutenant-General Tom Beckett, with whom he discussed the current general situation in Lebanon and the broader Arab region.

The pair also dwelt on the British aid program offered to the Lebanese military, especially in the field of land borders' control.

The meeting was attended by British Ambassador to Lebanon Hugo Shorter, and the British Embassy's Defense Attaché Chris Gunning.

Afterwards, General Aoun met with United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Sigrid Kaag, over the current general situation.

He later received Spanish Military Attaché, Colonel Ricardo Pardo Lopez Fando, who came on a farewell visit.
