The President of the Council of Ministers Saad Hariri received today at the Grand Serail the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Angelino Alfano and the accompanying delegation. Discussions focused on the situation in Lebanon and the region and the bilateral relations.
Later on, Hariri chaired part of the meeting of the technical committee for coordinating the services in the governorates. Today's meeting was dedicated to Metn district in Mount Lebanon.
During the meeting, Hariri stressed the necessity of selecting the projects to be implemented in the various governorates before the meeting of the Cabinet in each of these regions. He confirmed the Lebanese government's determination to activate development in all Lebanese regions.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ghassan Hasbani and attended by the representatives of PM Hariri, Fadi Fawaz and Mohamed Itani, the mohafez of Mount-Lebanon Mansour Daou, the caimacam of Metn Marlene Hadad, the president of the federation of Metn municipalities Mirna Murr and the concerned presidents of municipalities and representatives of ministries.
Discussions concentrated on two main topics: the establishment of an operation room to activate coordination among ministries and the determination of the location of the refinery in Burj Hammoud.
