Three children suffocated to death Wednesday inside a car in the al-Qadriyeh-Khyara area in west Bekaa as a fourth kid was rushed to hospital while undergoing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the Lebanese Red Cross announced.

MTV said the children, whose ages range between three and four, were trapped in a tinted-glass SUV after it was locked automatically.

Lebanese Red Cross chief George Kettaneh said the children were "playing hide and seek," identifying them as Yassmine al-Askar, 4, Shahd al-Hassan, 3, Bayan al-Hassan, 4, and Leen Qassem, 4.

“Their parents told interrogators that they lost track of them until one of the children was heard screaming before succumbing to death,” MTV added.
